Ekrin is proud to be an official ClimatePartner Certified company. Sustainability has always been a part of our mission, and now we’ve taken it a step further by measuring, reducing, and financing certified climate projects for the carbon footprint of our products.
In 2026, Ekrin’s certified product support finances the Hydropower, Chamba, India project, following our 2025 support for Clean Drinking Water in Laos. Together, these projects make our climate action easier to verify and understand.
How Ekrin became climate-neutral

What are climate projects?
Climate projects are essential tools in the global fight against climate change. They help lower or prevent greenhouse gas emissions through initiatives like clean drinking water access, renewable energy generation, forest conservation, and reforestation. Beyond environmental benefits, these projects often contribute to sustainable development in local communities by improving infrastructure, creating employment, protecting natural ecosystems, or improving access to basic needs.
For 2026, Ekrin supports a certified hydropower project in Chamba, India that expands renewable electricity generation and reduces reliance on fossil-fuel power. In 2025, Ekrin supported a clean drinking water project in Laos that reduces the need to boil water over wood fires. Both projects connect product-level carbon accounting with measurable, third-party verified climate action.
Because greenhouse gases like CO₂ mix evenly in the atmosphere, it doesn't matter where emissions are avoided — their reduction anywhere helps the climate everywhere. That’s why supporting certified climate projects around the world is a powerful and effective part of our carbon responsibility strategy.

2026 Project: Hydropower, Chamba, India
Download 2026 certificateEkrin’s 2026 ClimatePartner certification finances a CDM-certified hydropower project in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. The project uses a 5MW hydropower plant to feed renewable electricity into the regional HPSEB grid, reducing reliance on fossil-fuel power. Certificate ID 28375-2604-1001 confirms 603,834 kg CO₂e financed for Ekrin certified products.

2025 Project: Clean Drinking Water in Laos
Ekrin’s 2025 project supported clean drinking water access in Laos. By providing water filters, the project reduces the need for families to boil water over open wood fires, helping avoid CO₂ emissions, reduce pressure on local forests, and improve daily life in participating communities.
